Allen Family | Blacksburg, VA Family Portrait Photographer

Alex and Ryan told us ahead of time that the boys always get up reaaally early and that a morning session would be the best. We met them at 800 am on a Saturday morning and we were so excited when we got to the location – the sunlight and the morning mist were AMAZING!

Ben’s first favorite.

It was a little chilly in the morning so Ryan helped Cooper put his hands in his pockets to keep them warm. Cooper was so excited about being just like dad and strutted down to show Mom. Adorable!

My favorite. Definitely a canvas contender for Parker’s nursery. Such a sweet moment.

Ryan & Cooper ventured down to the creek to watch the water flow.  It is neat to see kids being so enthralled by the littlest things. We all could learn something from their curiosity.

Love Parker’s crazy baby hair. He is such a ham.

Cooper giving sloppy kisses.

Doesn’t the photo on the right make you want to be a kid again just so your dad can throw you up high. Don’t worry no babies were hurt in the making of this photo.;)

Cooper with this firetruck lunchbox. And nothing like an upside down dad to make a baby smile from ear to ear.

Another favorite! Parker cuddling with his dad. Canvas contender #2.

Cooper trying to blow bubbles. He doesn’t quite get the hang of it yet but he tried!

We were taking some family shots when I saw that there was a bubble still suspended in the grass.  Cooper was on it!  Let’s just say that bubble didn’t last for long:)

Nap time in the park!  Alex and Ryan told us that Cooper loves nothing more than being wrapped up in a big, warm blanket.  (I hear ya’ Cooper!)

Near the end of the session when the boys were getting a bit restless we decided to give them a break and do a few shots of just mom and dad.

Ben’s second favorite. And, canvas contender #3.

Thanks Allens for being awesome to work with. We can’t wait to do more sessions with you in the future!

Christina & Tony | Radford, VA Wedding Photographer

Christina contacted us just a little bit ago about her simple backyard wedding.  Their vision was a small, intimate backyard wedding with only their children looking on. A family friend has this amazing yard in Radford where the ceremony was held. It was gorgeous! So many great places to photograph was the icing on the cake for their beautiful wedding.

Even in a quick ceremony there is just magic between a couple. I love the chemistry between them in this photo.:)

With three boys there was a lot of running around everywhere. The two boys were on the hunt for a snake hole.

All the kids wanted to do was climb on these rocks. Ally did her best to keep up with all of the boys.

What a gorgeous couple!!

And a gorgeous family! When shooting family shots we know you just have to work with what you can get. This photo to me is perfect. Such a capture of who their family is….craziness and all.:)

Then it was time for a little goofing around. Even though it was hot, Tony picked up each of the kids and swung them around. Now that’s a good dad.

Boys will be boys.

Such a precious moment between Christina & her daughter.   Ben’s two favorites!

Love this! So sweet.

Seriously, a grassy field, good sunlight and a couple in love and I am a happy photographer.

My favorite is on the left. I might need to get a canvas of this for my wall.

As we were leaving Ben ran back to capture this moment of two of the boys horsing around. I am so glad he did.

Congratulations Christina & Tony! Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your special day. We loved getting to know you and your gorgeous family. Lots of love!

Parker Family | Blacksburg, VA Family Photographer

Meet the Parker family. They are VT grads who recently came up to visit with their 2 year old daughter, Leah. They took this opportunity to show Leah around campus and to get her 2 year old photos taken. I do think Leah was the one who was showing her parents around campus – she would not stop. We walked a lot. I am amazed by her little 2 year stamina. She just kept going.

Aren’t her curls darling?! I seriously love little girls and their curls. Oh, and the bow. Super cute!

Doesn’t every kid love being tossed in the air? Leah sure does.

After our walk around the duckpond we headed to the War Memorial Chapel since no trip to Tech’s campus is complete without a stop here. All Leah wanted to do was climb up and down the steps. All day long. I got my workout in for the day.:)

We brought some bubbles along to entertain Leah. I think she enjoyed them.

I am pretty sure this smile proves it.

More air tossing. That is one excited little girl. She really liked our cameras and wanted take some photos of her own. With my help, she held onto our camera like a pro. Leah, if you need a job in a few years you’re hired.

She was just short enough to fit underneath the bike racks. She walked through them many many times before getting tired of it.

Thanks Anna & Chris for bringing Leah up to Blacksburg for some fun family shots. I am sure someday she too will be gracing Tech’s campus as an enrolled student. Go Hokies!

The Opreska Family | Harrisburg, PA family photographer

Meet the extremely adorable Opreska family! Mark & Christin graciously let me invade their house one afternoon so we could have a little family fun.  My favorite!!

Matthew was just about to turn one and was on the verge of starting to walk. (From what I hear he is full on walking now!).  They have 2 dachshunds that are the sweetest dogs ever.  Toby doesn’t really want anything to do with Matthew but Zoey lets him hang all over her.  Matthew just loves his doggies.

Aren’t those cheeks just munchable?! Seriously, this kid is a charmer.

Oh, and those hands!

One of his favorite games is to throw around Trivial Pursuit cards.  He is going to be one smart cookie.

Ben’s favorite.

This little boy has the coolest room EVER!  They painted a huge mural of “Where the Wild Things Are” on one whole wall in his room.

I will leave you with baby feet and chubby toes.  So stinkin’ cute.

Thanks Mark, Christin & Matthew for inviting me into your home.
